Jo's Trust

Jo's Trust is a charity dedicated to women, their families and friends affected by pre-cancer and cancer of the cervix. Its primary activity is the provision of easily accessed good information, confidential medical advice and support about all aspects of this illness through their website.

The Trust’s other objectives are:

  • To raise the public profile and understanding of the causes of pre-cancer and cervical cancer and how they can possibly be prevented and overcome
  • To create greater awareness of the importance of having regular cervical screening
  • To campaign for new and improved preventative, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for cervical cancer

We have supported this organisation since 2006.

During 2007:

  • We gave an unrestricted Medical Fellowship donation of £1000 to support Jo's Trust for the benefit of patients, following a charity team building event at the 2007 Medical Conference.
  • We gave a Medical Fellowship donation of £3,000 to support improvements to IT capabilities within the Trust's office.

Our funding represents 4 per cent of their income overall.
