Simon Bicknell, Senior Vice President, Company Secretary & Compliance Officer was appointed Company Secretary for GSK in 2000, and Compliance Officer in 2006.
Simon joined the Company Secretariat in 1984. He was appointed Deputy Secretary of Glaxo Wellcome in 1995 and Company Secretary of GlaxoSmithKline plc in 2000. He is responsible for risk management, compliance and strategic auditing and chairs the company's Risk Oversight and Compliance Council. Simon works closely with GSK's Board of Directors in his capacity as Company Secretary.
After gaining his Law degree, Simon qualified as a barrister in 1983 and is a member of MiddleTemple.
